Hometrack have reported an increase in property prices across 41% of Britain, which is a rise of 6% 12 months ago. Growth outside of London and the South-East has been stagnant over the past 5 years, however for the first time in 5 years a positive growth has been observed.
It has also been reported that agents have seen a rise in applicants and a decrease in property availability eight months in a row.
Similarly, the Land Registry has also reported a 0.1% rise in property prices across England and Wales compared to July 2013. The average house price now stands at £164,654, more specifically, south-east locations saw an average rise of 0.3% in property prices, good news for Southampton property owners!
