I was at a sales appraisal recently and the seller was adamant that she didn’t want a board outside her house.
“Fair enough” I replied, and changed the subject. “So, where do you want to live once we’ve sold your house?” Her eyes lit up and she said “Oh, on the Stoneygate Estate in Hinckley”. “And how is that going?” I enquired. “Really well, I went for a drive around the estate and saw two houses that I want to see and have booked two viewings this Saturday!”
“Very good”, I replied. “And how did you know they were For Sale?”
You could see the penny drop. Needless to say, she had a board outside her house which we sold the next day. They may appear to be a blot on the landscape, or even an alert to the neighbours, but when you are either selling or letting it’s advisable to use all means necessary to market your property.
