Martin & Co Blackpool is a leading estate agency based in the North West of the UK. We specialise in property sales, lettings, property investments and portfolio management; offering an exceptional service to our clients.
We are looking for a motivated and target-driven Lettings Negotiator to join our busy lettings team. The ideal candidate will be confident in both letting existing properties and generating new business through local marketing and networking. This is a client-facing role requiring excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive can-do attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- List new rental properties on relevant portals and social media with accurate, appealing descriptions and imagery
- Let existing stock of rental properties by matching applicants and conducting viewings
- Maintain and manage an up-to-date, qualified tenant applicant database with daily call outs
- Oversee the tenant referencing process from offer to approval
- Generate and issue Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST) agreements
- Upsell additional services such as insurance, removals, legal and financial services
- Provide exceptional customer service to landlords, tenants, and applicants throughout the process
- Source new landlord and property lettings opportunities through proactive and creative lead generation, networking and utilising traditional and digital marketing techniques
- Collaborate closely with the Lettings Manager and wider team to achieve individual and branch targets
Requirements
Essential:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Self-starter with an ability to work independently and manage a busy diary
- Confident IT user including Microsoft Office
- Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a lettings or estate agency role
- Confidence using property portals and CRM systems
- Knowledge of local rental market
