HISTORICALLY SPEAKING Plymouth municipal science, art and technical school was built in 1897. In the centre of the north wall, immediately opposite the main entrance, was a stained glass window, representing the development of naval architecture during the career of one of Devonport's illustrious sons, Sir William White, who rose from a Dockyard apprentice to become the Director of Naval Construction and was elected a Freeman of the Borough on that opening day. The Clock was formally dedicated on Monday September 8th 1898. The hour bell weighed one ton and the four quarter bells ranged from half a ton downwards. The bells were hung in the thickness of the walls and were therefore visible from outside, an unusual arrangement in Devon.

SELLER'S TALE "As my first home, I have loved living in this characterful building for the last 5 years! On the approach to this building, it's such a stunning piece of architecture, with a lot of history, and I have always felt proud to live here. With the high ceilings, the large south facing windows, the mezzanine bedroom and original features, it's always been a very attractive home.
Just behind are the shared gardens and the beautiful Devonport park for my morning run, with Royal William Yard, the seafront, the train station, the city centre, various bus stops and local shops in both Stoke and Devonport village all within walking distance, providing a really central location, but within attractive green surroundings. It will be hard to say goodbye to my first home but my fiancé and I are embarking on a family home together. "
