Property Description

Introducing a stunning Victorian period home located on Mansfield road - an absolute gem of a property that is ready for its new owners. This magnificent residence spans over 1600 square feet and stands proud mid-terrace. It features an imposing double bay, recently rendered exterior, beautiful sash windows and plantation shutters that add to its timeless charm.

As you step inside the new front door, you are greeted by a recently refurbished entrance hall adorned with bespoke individual mosaic ceramic tiles, custom designed by London mosaic. This beautiful hallway leads to a spacious reception room that boasts a feature gas fireplace with a striking chimney breast. A second reception room has double doors that lead to the west-facing garden. The hall and both reception rooms have been recently re-plastered and repainted with 'Coat' paints.

Moving along the hallway, you will find a downstairs toilet, a coat cupboard and storage cupboard before you enter the highlight of the ground floor; the capacious, light, bright, open plan kitchen-diner, spanning over 280 square feet with surrounding windows and a full complement of white goods. Spacious enough to include a breakfast bar for casual meals and a more formal dining table, it's the perfect spot for entertaining and to gather family and friends around for a delicious meal.

Double doors lead from the dining area outside to the perfectly presented west-facing garden which was redesigned in 2021. Custom flower beds and low maintenance plants make gardening a breeze. Designed for low maintenance and with a view to entertaining, it is the perfect spot to relax and unwind on your custom-made Ipe Brazilian hardwood hidden fixings decking, surrounded by bespoke custom-made Yellow Balau hardwood fencing. External garden lighting makes this an exquisite space, day and night.

The first floor of the property contains three spacious double bedrooms with leafy views and a bright family bathroom that comes complete with a four-piece suite with separate bath and shower cubicle with floor-to-ceiling tiles. The recently re-plastered and redecorated front bedroom is a generous size and boasts a double bay window, feature fireplace and bespoke fitted wardrobes. The middle bedroom also contains a feature fireplace and includes a fitted wardrobe. All bedrooms contain bespoke plantation shutters, two rooms include integrated blackout blinds.

The first floor also includes storage with two double fitted cupboards in the hallway and access to loft space above the bathroom and back bedroom, perfect for storing Christmas decorations!

Upstairs on the second floor, the converted loft space is home to the spacious master bedroom with an en-suite shower room, fitted wardrobe, and storage within the eaves. This room also includes integrated blackout plantation shutters and velux blinds with privacy/blackout options.

The property has off street parking for a small car on the front driveway and is perfectly positioned for transport links to the nearby North Circular or M11. Wanstead tube station (zone four) is just two minutes walk away (0.1 miles), meaning you can be in the heart of the city at Liverpool Street or Bank in twenty minutes, less than a twenty five minute commute door-to-door.

Located just 0.1 miles from Wanstead station, in this highly sought after area of Wanstead, this property is close to highly-regarded local schools, with six "Outstanding" or "Good" Ofsted rated schools nearby. There are also five excellent independent schools just a short drive away, all with fantastic ISI ratings. For early years, Little Bears, Treehouse and Kindred nurseries are all within close walking distance and are all recently rated "Good" by Ofsted.

With Wanstead High Street just moments away, there are many and varied offerings in the heart of this ever popular East London village, from wonderful coffee shops to pubs and restaurants to try out. A word from the owners: "We've lived at 4 Mansfield road for over a decade and have made many happy memories here, the kitchen and garden are perfect for hosting parties! A couple when we moved in, we're now a family of four and we're upsizing for a bit more room for the children. We've spent the last few years renovating and improving our home, which means it's in great shape for its next owner. We love the area and will be staying local to Wanstead, which allows us to stay in touch with our wonderful neighbours on Mansfield road, who are now lifelong friends. The community spirit on Mansfield road is truly fantastic, we set up a street WhatsApp group during the pandemic to help one another which is still very active with neighbours sharing helpful info, jokes and unwanted items. More recently the street came together to organise a street party for the Queens platinum jubilee, with a BBQ, fancy dress competition, "Crufts" dog show, sports day races, ice cream van, a bake off competition, and a much anticipated inaugural "battle of the roads" tug-of-war between Mansfield and Chester road! We will miss living on Mansfield road but are excited for the next residents to enjoy this special road.
