Uckfield and TN22 rental market

During the past couple of months the Letting market within the Uckfield and surrounding TN22 postcodes has been less vibrant than previously, which has as a result seen rental amounts achievable reduce. 

Having looked at our own data and that provided by the property website Rightmove, it appears that this is due to a higher number of tenants vacating properties which resulted in a 34% increase in the number of properties available year on year (March to April). Despite an increase in the number of persons looking to rent this year compared to last, the number of properties actually let during this period dropped from 59% to 40% of available stock available.

Interesting the properties which have been moving more quickly are the 3-4 bedroom properties rather than the 2 bedroom properties which historically have a shorter void period.

Despite the change in market conditions, Martin & Co Uckfield have kept the average void period across all their properties which have been remarketed to less than one week at 6.8 days.
