Big rises in property prices predicted

The Centre for Economics and Business Research has predicted that house prices will rise this year by 2.9%, to an average cost of £225,000. The continue to add that prices will continue to rise next year by 3.9% to £234,000.

It is also forecast that the housing market will start seeing stronger recovery outside of London and the south-east, with house prices rising in the east of England and Scotland by 27% over the next 5 years. Similarly, London and the south-east will see rises of 43.5% and 27.7% by 2018, respectively.
