During the last 12 months Break, a local charity dedicated to changing young people’s lives, has been working with sponsors and artists to create an extraordinary event. Norwich will be home to some unusual visitors – 120 glorious gorilla sculptures will create a trail around the city. From Monday 24 June you will be able to explore the trail and see how many spectacular gorillas you can find.
Each gorilla has been decorated in a variety of colourful and exciting artwork; produced by professional artists, schools and community groups.
For 11 weeks, GoGoGorillas! is a must do event for everyone.
Sponsored by local businesses, the GoGoGorillas sculptures will delight and raise significant funds for charity when they are auctioned off at the end of the parade; to raise money for the chosen charities - Break and the Born Free Foundation.
Delivered by local charity Break, working with leading arts and education company Wild in Art, the event will build on the success of Wild in Art’s previous events: Go Elephants; Rhino Mania; Stroll Discovery Trails.
