Letting and Estate agents Martin & Co Nantwich, together with their sister agency of Cheshire West,  backed up their reputation for scarily good service by sponsoring the Spooktacular event in the town this weekend.

The event, which combines a lavish bonfire and firework display with all the usual trappings of Hallowe'en and a fun fair, attracted several thousand spectators to the Nantwich Show ground at Dorfold Hall on the outskirts of the town.

Martin & Co were one of the 3 main sponsors.

Staff members Brenda Morris and Nick Cliffe both met Coronation Street's Michelle Keegan, who had been presenting prizes for the best fancy Hallowe'en fancy dress.

Director Shaun Cafferty explains:

"This was mainly about us showing our support for an event which provides fun and attracts people to Nantwich, and is one of a number that we sponsor throughout the year. Many of the clients of our Cheshire West agency were likely to benefit, so we made it a joint effort between them and our Nantwich office.

As an organiser of the annual Battle of Nantwich celebrations each January, I particularly understand the need for local businesses to provide their support to keep things like this alive for the good of the town as a whole. We are a local business whose Directors live in Nantwich, and we are committed to supporting the town that gives us our livelihood. So this is us putting our money where our mouth is. In an industry sector like ours where companies often talk big whether its true or not, this is us 'walking the walk' as well as 'talking the talk'! "

Martin & Co also recently announced that they would continue to support Nantwich Show, despite the cancellation of this year's event due to waterlogged ground conditions.
