“Just wanted to drop a review in here. These guys were awesome selling an extremely difficult house for us last year. Background: we were first time buyers, conned into buying a house that had £14,000 worth of hidden essential repairs and maintenance we then had to get done in 4 years owning it, then my husband was about to be unemployed, oh and there was plenty work still needing to be done. Unlike the former owner, we were adamant we weren't going to hide anything from interested buyers. In fact we felt despite our desperate circumstances, we just couldn't in good conscience sell 'to anyone' - it had to be someone who would know what they were getting themselves into. We approached two estate agents (avoiding the one we bought through) about the sale of our home. One wanted us to be... conservative with the truth of our home's condition, and to allow them to do the viewings. Martin and Co however understood our ethics, and respected them. Not only did they facilitate our honesty, but they also recognised that I was competent at conducting the viewings myself, and respected that I knew more about the property and it's present condition than anyone. In the end, we did find someone who could understand what a task lay ahead of them in ownership, and had the skills/contacts to take on the place without (like we were) being utterly over-burdened. Thanks to our honesty, Martin & Co's honesty, and our solicitors (who also appreciated our honesty), the sale went through with almost no issues whatsoever. It was completed in under 2 months. Considering it involved my delivering a huge ringbinder's worth of certificates, surveys, invoices for works carried out by multiple contractors, insurance claims, shared rights of way via private road, an extension built prior to regulations about going over mains sewerage lines... That's pretty much a miracle! Also, just to point out how good these folks are, 4 months down the line I called them for a second opinion because we're now in a position to buy a house (in process through a different agent in another part of the country) and... not only did they remember us, but they were eager to find someone to have a think on our issue and call us back. THAT is service you can't expect from many places.”

“I've moved houses quite a few times in Milton Keynes and as a result had number of interactions with different letting agents. I can say that it's hard to find a letting agency where every single member of staff demonstrates utmost level of professionalism and courteousness. Dawn Bateman (letting negotiator) did a great job in my first interaction with Martin & Co. during the viewing and made my decision making easy. Later on, Michael Campbell (sales & lettings administrator) made the paper work hassle free and got my deposit amount secured with TDS. Kim Pusey (branch manager) helped me with a comprehensive and realistic inventory report. They are a small team of very well organised and committed individuals who seem to stand by core company values. They were always available and helped me promptly resolve the issues I've faced (with Boiler and Toilet). Every interaction and transaction was very smooth from the beginning through to the end and I received my deposit in full without any hidden/unreasonable charges.
