Housing Bill to be introduced by Welsh Assembly

Housing Bill to be introduced by Welsh Assembly

A bill that will bring number of big changes affecting all landlords with properties in Wales will be introduced into the Welsh Assembly in November 2013. If all goes according to plan, the bill should become law in summer 2014.

If you are a landlord (or thinking of becoming one) with property to let in Wales, then this will affect you in quite some big ways. Two major items are mandatory licensing of all landlords and agents in Wales and introducing a separate to England legislation concerning letting of residential properties.

We will keep you informed of how the bill progresses through Welsh Assembly but in our opinion it is rather certain it will be passed and introduced as planned.
