Are you aware of the changes to council tax rules?

The rules surrounding council tax on vacant properties has changed.  Unfortunately there are no exemptions under any circumstances.  Council tax is now payable all year round whether the property is occupied or unoccupied, furnished or unfurnished.  This means that Landlords are liable for council tax payments when a tenant vacates the property (even if still under contract).

To prevent penalties being imposed for non-payment of council tax our property Management Team can assist our Landlords, clear the debt and arrange collection from future rents to cover the bill.

We are here to help.  If you receive a council tax bill send us a copy via post or email, we will contact the council, ensure the dates are accurate and arrange payment immediately.  This stops court action being instigated and will reduce those unforeseen penalties.
