Relentlessly chasing Landlords and Sellers for business can be challenging, but not as challenging as providing a unique approach to working with students who have learning difficulties
. After careful consideration, a visit to their workshop and office in Leicester and the viewing of a wonderful show at a school in Wigston, Martin & Co Hinckley have decided to raise funds and donate to The Bamboozle Theatre Company.
Founded by Christopher Davies and Sue Pyecroft, Bamboozle specialises in working with children and young people who have learning, emotional and behavioural difficulties. They also work with teachers, carers parents and siblings, and Bamboozle believe that each of these young people, many of whom have high degrees of dependency and complex needs, has a voice and a desire to learn and grow that needs to be recognised. This voice and desire can be expressed and encouraged through engaging with artists and participating in the performing arts.
They use a team approach to explore a magical, multi-sensory mixture of theatre, music, design, puppetry, visual arts and problem solving which enables them to build creative opportunities for learning and have lots of fun at the same time.
Steve Chadwick, Franchise owner of Martin & Co in Hinckley said “I’ve been very impressed with Bamboozles enthusiasm, and having seen at first hand the joy and pleasure they bring to the children during their performance of Jack and the Flum Flum Tree, I hope by contributing to their funding that the good work can continue for a long time.”
