MARTIN & CO PROMOTES BRAND NEW LANDLORD’S INSURANCE

Martin & Co is now able to promote the most up-to-date range of Landlord’s Insurance products on the market to their landlords, thanks to their association with HomeLet, the leader in providing specialist risk solutions for the let property market.

Jonathan Streets, Branch Manager said “We’re delighted that we now have access to market leading solutions which really tackle the risks faced by landlords. Too many landlords are unaware of just how many potential risks they face when they let a property. In many cases landlords only look for specialist cover after a problem has arisen and they’ve faced considerable costs.”

HomeLet’s new buildings insurance includes Emergency Assistance cover as standard. This means that if an emergency arises, tenants can receive help without needing to disturb the landlord and it covers costs of up to £500 per incident. This means that landlords can let their property worry free and rest assured that they won’t be hit with any unexpected costs.

The new buildings insurance also covers any lost rent or re-letting costs – so if something serious happens which is covered by the policy, and the tenant has to move out, then the rent is paid to the landlord whilst the repairs are being carried out – for up to two years.

“The new range of insurances from HomeLet takes things into account that many landlords may not have necessarily considered, such as employer and property owner liability cover. In today’s blame conscious culture landlords could potentially face massive costs should they be found negligent for something that happens to a tenant in their property, such as a trip over loose carpet.” says Jonathan.

“At Martin & Co we’re able to give a unique managed property discount on the new range of landlords insurance from HomeLet, so in today’s cash conscious climate we can provide landlords exceptional cover at an affordable price.”

Managing director of HomeLet John Boyle commented “This is a very exciting time for HomeLet and for the letting agents we work with.  We’ve been developing this product for the last 12 months, and looked at every aspect of property rental to ensure we met the needs of today’s modern landlord.

“We’re delighted to work with Martin & Co and we believe that our new range of insurances are the most comprehensive in the market, because they’ve been designed specifically for landlords.”
