Despite the economic downturn, local lettings specialist Martin & Co are delighted to be sponsoring Nantwich Show for the 7th consecutive year, according to Director Shaun Cafferty.
The Show, which takes place on 31st July, is a longstanding Cheshire event , and is now the biggest one day agricultural show in the country, attracting sometimes up to 30,000 visitors in a single day. It is run in conjunction with the International Cheese Festival, which will see over 4200 cheeses exhibited in Nantwich, the largest number shown under one roof in the whole of Europe!
Shaun explains: “The Show is a big Nantwich tradition. We are a local community business that derives its success and income from South Cheshire people. So we think it’s only fair to try and put something back into the community, and Nantwich Show is just one example of how we do this.
It’s an event that is important to, and enjoyed by, many local people, and if we can help sustain that then all well and good. We have a special affinity for the Nantwich Show – like ourselves it is big, successful and award-winning! Many of our landlords and investors are from the farming community, so it’s great to be involved in something that matters especially to them.”
The Martin & Co Nantwich office forms an important part of the market leading lettings operation, and the company has recently opened a sales division with a particular emphasis on investment and the smaller properties.
It is heavily involved within the Nantwich business community, Director Shaun Cafferty being a board Director for the South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce, with special responsibility for Nantwich, and also sitting on Nantwich Town Council’s Town Centre Group.
