Night of Triumph for South Cheshire Agent

Night of Triumph for South Cheshire Agent

South Cheshire lettings and property management firm Martin & Co beat off stiff competition to secure two national awards on the same evening!!

In a ceremony attended by hundreds of representatives from the lettings industry, they won prizes for market leadership and best franchise. The company were represented by Directors Mark Bowler and Shaun Cafferty, and by General Lettings Manager Sarah Lillico.

“There were almost 200 other lettings businesses in the running for these honours, so to be presented with two different awards on the same evening is quite special” Shaun commented. ”Statistics showed that in 2012 more landlords in Crewe and Nantwich rented out their properties with us than with our two closest rivals put together, so we must be doing something landlords like. The lettings industry remains very unregulated, so the choice of the right agent is paramount, and these awards recognise the standards we maintain.”

Sarah joked: “It’s a good job I came along - we had to take it in turns to go and collect the trophies and champagne! Seriously though, I am delighted especially for the staff who work hard every day to achieve results and deliver excellent service. As a Crewe girl I am thrilled that our efforts have received UK wide recognition, and have got Crewe and Nantwich noticed on a national stage. We have tried to lead the local property market into the 21st Century with our fresh and pro-active approach, and this has paid dividends”.

In announcing the awards, the judges said that “Martin & Co in Crewe and Nantwich have embraced the values of integrity and professionalism, and straight-talking, good advice. Landlords and tenants alike clearly know where they stand, and we have been really impressed with the positive feedback we have received.”

Director Mark Bowler said he felt “humbled but delighted” by the double success:

“There are industry awards around nowadays that can effectively be bought by paying an entry fee and dedicating lots of resource to winning. We have preferred instead to dedicate ourselves to simply doing the job right, and this is our reward. There was no entry fee, and we were asked if we were happy to be nominated. It means more because it is a judgement by our peers and industry experts, as well as our clients backing us. I would like to thank all the staff and customers who made this possible.”
