Summer is almost over and whilst we take advantage of the last few days of dry and sunny weather now would be a perfect time to prepare your property before the rain, wind and snow arrives.
Over the last week the property management team at Martin & Co Crawley have received and dealt with a number of boiler breakdowns, many of which have required parts that are now obsolete. Whilst boilers deteriorate with age it is always a good idea to have your boiler serviced when the annual gas safety check is carried out. Whilst a service is not a legal requirement early detection of wear may prevent a boiler breakdown when it’s at its highest need.
Callum Maslen, Property Maintenance Coordinator said “If you have had problems in the past with your boiler or have been advised by one of our Gas Safe engineers that your boiler is nearing the end now is a good time to either have a new boiler fitted or have your old boiler serviced/repaired before the call out costs mount”.
Other areas that suffer most in the cold, wet and windy weather tend to be roofs, lead flashing, windows, fencing and guttering. By giving special attention to essential areas it will greatly protect your investment.
