Cambridge Letting Agent Martin & Co has been shortlisted in the Community Champion of the Year category at this year's Negotiator Awards. In November this year, the Mill Road-based lettings specialist will compete for the title, alongside some of the UK’s top sales and letting agents. Martin & Co UK has also been shortlisted in the Franchisor of the Year and Large Letting Agency of the Year categories.
Martin & Co Cambridge is in the running for the Community Champion award in recognition of its fundraising efforts and wider engagement with the local community in Cambridge. Every year Martin & Co is involved in sponsorship and fundraising at St Philips primary school summer fete, and the firm also raises money for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity at the annual Mill Road Winter Fair. In the past year, the letting agent has also started sponsoring the Histon under-13s cricket team.
Nick Diggle, company director, said, “The whole team here aims to be involved in our fundraising and community activities, and we're all really pleased to make the shortlist this year."
The Negotiator Awards is an annual national property event, which seeks to identify, reward and celebrate the best and highest performing agencies in the UK. This year's awards attracted a record 275 entries which are judged by a specially selected panel of industry experts.
Martin & Co Cambridge is no stranger to awards, having won a wide range of industry accolades in the past few years. This year alone, the firm was named a Top 10 Service Provider in East of England in Business Weekly’s New Years Honours, while the Martin & Co network also won the Silver award at the Estate and Letting Agent of the Year Awards 2013.
