During the Spring, the management team changed in Bournemouth and is now being headed by Philip the new MD. He has been in the industry for over two decades and he's also a landlord himself, who has worked locally and internationally. He has brought bags of experience and an innovative modern style to the branch. Today the office staff is 14 an increase of over 200% since the date he moved in. Philip has made service a priority by improving and increasing the Lettings Department which is now run by Mike Mallett and the Sales Department which is under the control of Melanie Macleans, plus there are now more property managers in place.
In May we bought out the business of Paris Lettings Estate Agency and merged both businesses together. This has almost doubled the portfolio of our office, increasing both our sales and lettings radically. Last month we've ranked 5th on Rightmove and 2nd on Zoopla. Our aim is to become number one in the Bournemouth area, as well as the best management service provider. We are implementing both a policy for organic growth and acquisitions to have exponential growth in the industry. With the tenant fee ban coming into place next year only those businesses that have a large enough portfolio will be able to survive the impact of the loss of this valuable income.
We believe that many of our landlords are concerned about the effects of the tenant fee ban, the new licensing requirements in respect of HMO's and the tax effect of the loss of mortgage interest relief. To most landlords, high gearing has resulted in a lack of investment and a need to sell in a market that has not moved much in the past two years.
We believe that a strategical plan of investment will help increase the yield return and improve the value of your property.
