ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATE (EPC)
Landlords You must make an Energy Performance Certificate available to all prospective tenants the first time you let a property after the 1st October, 2008. Contact the team at the Telford office for advice and we can also quickly arrange the provision of an EPC, we can commission an assessment and provision of a certificate on your behalf at modest cost.
Tenants If you are interested in renting a property then an Energy Performance Certificate will be made available to you free of charge if you take a tenancy on or after the 1st October 2008. This will help you to compare the likely running costs of different properties and do your bit for the environment.
An EPC is only required for a property which is self-contained and is valid for 10 years.

Three-year deal with Homelet announced
Martin & Co has signed an exclusive three-year deal with HomeLet – the market-leading insurance provider for the lettings industry.
The lettings franchise group is now HomeLet’s largest client.
