Hildreth Street Market has been a street market in Balham since 1903 and is still in the hub of Balham. Excellent over and underground stations with direct links into Central London.

Tube trains run from Balham, Clapham North, Clapham South and Clapham Common on the Northern Line, and on the Victoria Line from Balham, Vauxhall and Stockwell, but the mainline station to Victoria and London Bridge is a well-kept secret with trains taking 7 minutes to Victoria and 19 minutes to London Bridge, and you can usually get a seat!
