A reminder to all residential Landlords: As from 1st October 2008 all properties re-newing or taking out a new Tenancy Agreement in England and Wales will be required by law to have an EPC – Energy Performance Certificate.

Investor Landlord to Martin & Co Franchisee
David Lee like many a few years ago became disillusioned with the performance on pension investments so started to invest into the buy to let market, first buying a couple of apartments in Chelmsford and graduating a couple of years later to the purchase a few more units, 15 in fact in Colchester.
The initial plan was to manage these himself but as he also has an office & shopfitting Company to run as well it soon became clear that he just could not devote the time to maintain the service to his tenants.
I was recommended by the builder, Higgins Homes to contact a relatively new letting agent (at the time) Martin & Co in Colchester I met with the agent, agreed terms for a fully managed service and soon found that “they did what it said on the can”
As an investor Landlord David was so impressed with the service from his agent Martin & Co he along with his partner Maria decided to buy the Company, or at least part of it, and now wants to offer the same level of service to our landlords as we have experienced.
