Worthing is a large seaside town with Borough status in West Sussex. It is situated at the foot of the South Downs, 10 miles (16 km) west of Brighton and about 28 miles (45 km) to the southwest of Gatwick International Airport. Worthing has 5 stations and frequent fast trains to London Victoria, Brighton, Portsmouth and Gatwick Airport and is served by the A24 and A27/M23, both leading to the M25. Consequently, it is firmly in the commuter belt and is a sought after location due to its sea front and surrounding countryside.
