Letting Agent Continues To Buck Economic Trend With Expansion

Despite the economic doom and gloom elsewhere, local lettings specialists Martin & Co are celebrating their expansion into the North Shropshire, only a few weeks after their Nantwich office moved into bigger premises!

Martin & Co Director Shaun Cafferty said he was "excited and delighted" by the establishment of the new Martin & Co Whitchurch lettings agency. "With Whitchurch being located on the important A41 and A49 junction as well as being linked to the important railway stations at Crewe and Shrewsbury. it is fast becoming a popular rural commuter base for jobs in Chester, Manchester, The Potteries and the West Midlands, in addition to current Whitchurch tenants. Therefore we felt it merited a professional lettings specialist.

Martin & Co's Whitchurch Lettings Consultant is Toby Banfield, who has recently obtained his NFOPP qualification, which is the leading professional qualification for people working in the residential lettings market. The award is obtained is obtained by passing 4 separate exams concerning lettings law, best practice for lettings agents, good office and process management and how to best advise landlords.

Toby Commented: "Landlords are not being given adequate advice on all the issues that affects them, any one of which can trip them up and result in heavy costs. We are seeing lots of estate agents enter into the lettings market as the sales market is so quiet. In Many respects though for agents, lettings transactions are rather more complex than sales, as there are more than 100 pieces of legislation separately affecting them!"

Director Shaun Cafferty added: "Lettings is our only business and we are making a strong commitment to the Whitchurch rental market.
