(Q1) How is Business in The Wanstead Office currently...?
(A1) Business is very good currently, we experienced an extremely busy end to 2011 which is unusual within Lettings. We were actually finding that we were moving people into their homes as late as Christmas Eve.
(Q2) Competition in the area has grown.., how has this effected you...?
(A2) That is true, 2 large established agents have opened recently while many other smaller offices are surfacing however many of these companies do Lettings as a side project and are still maninly focused on sales. Residential Lettings and Property Management is a very specialised industry, with ever changing legislation.
(Q3) You've recently expanded into Leytonstone, tell us more about this decision...?
(A3) We have always successfully serviced the Leytonstone & Leyton areas from our Wanstead Office however as Property demand and Landlord enquiries for Renting in Leytonstone have increased we felt it necesssary to strengthen our presence in the Leytonstone area to ensure that Landlords and Tenants received the highest Levels of Customer Service by having an office dedicated solely to the Leytonstone & Leyton Market.
(Q4) What is 2012 looking like for the Martin & Co brand as a whole...?
(A4) 2012 is looking extremely exciting, the Martin & Co brand is growing from strength to strength and still remains both the UK's largest independent Letting Agent and also the UK's No.1 Letting Agent as we continue to win awards, voted for by the Landlords themselves. On a local level the Martin & Co Wanstead Office for the 11th month running were the No.1 Agent in the E11 area in an independent report conducted by the property portal Rightmove.
(Q5) Finally what about Landlords Letting their property during the London 2012 Olympic Games...?
(A5) Very exciting for everyone involved, we are now getting Landlords visitjng our offices and calling us on a daily basis with questions regarding the process of renting out their properties during the Olympics. Some brief advice would be to leave your property furnished, decide how long exactly you wish to rent it out for, and in terms of rental estimates you're looking at approximately 4 times the current rental values.
