Martin & Co Truro, is a family run business which opened its doors in 2006 by husband and wife team, Gareth and Wendy Glover.  In this time the branch has grown from strength to strength and is complimented by a Lettings Manager, a dedicated Property Manager, Negotiator, a Lettings Co-ordinator and our new Apprentice.

 

The office isconveniently situated just off the high street of the City centre and can be found at 22 New Bridge Street, Truro, TR1 2AA.  The premises are an approximate 1 minute walk from Truro Cathedral and Truro Bus Station at Green Street, and an approximate 10 minute walk from Truro Train Station located on New Bridge Street, in the city centre of Truro.

 

We are well placed to service the needs of both Landlords and Tenants throughout the whole of Cornwall as we will always have, and are constantly  looking for properties to rent and let. As a lettings specialist you will benefit from a focused and dedicated level of service not always readily available elsewhere. We are a member of the TPO (The Property Ombudsman).  This is a Government approved independent industry organisation. David Terrace – Property Manager

 

David has a wealth of management experience and knowledge and is directly responsible for day-to-day property management of our existing register. David’s principle responsibility is to ensure all property management issues from both tenant and landlord are dealt with quickly and effectively to ensure both parties remain happy during tenancy. David is also available to offer expert advice on tenant and landlord contractual obligations during and after the tenancies.

 

Sandra Valentine - Lettings Co-ordinator

 

Sandy is the hub of the office and has a vital role in the production of all legal documentation and ensuring that contracts, letters and all other administration go to the right people at the right time and all in good time. Sandy keeps in contact with all of our landlords and tenants, and is a key player when securing renewal contracts both for landlords and tenants alike. Sandy is happy to answer any questions relating to our tenancy agreements and the renewal of our tenancy agreements.

 

William Gentle - Business Developer

 

Our Business Developer holds a wealth of experience and can always offer advice and support to our customers. It is good to know that you can rely on the best advice from the staff whether you are moving into a property or just popping in for some advice on the area or letting in general William will always ensure you get the real take on what to expect and help you negotiate the lettings minefield that can be daunting to new tenants.

 

Kimberley McCartney – Apprentice

 

It is important to the property industry as a whole that the next generation of property professionals are encouraged and nurtured in the right environment. As Martin and Co are in investor in people, we strive to give young people an opportunity to develop in a controlled environment. By providing a blend of practical on the job training which involves supporting all professional members of staff in their various roles, thus covering every aspect of the lettings industry, with the academic side of the apprenticeship. Kimberley will shortly begin studying,(with the help of Martin and Co Truro) for the level 2 NVQ in “Customer Services” with a view to go on to the nationally recognised NFOPP (National Federation of Property Professionals) Residential Letting and Property Management qualification . This is a very difficult and lengthy technical award and is made up of a number of different modules that must be completed before going onto the next. This is the level of expertise our Landlords come to expect from our office. Kimberley is always eager to help with your enquiries and will always come back to you promptly with an answer.

 

Wendy Glover –Proprietor & Finance Manager

 

Wendy has over 20 year experience of accounts and finance and because all finance transactions and rental payments are dealt with “in-house” Wendy is always available to offer advice and to answer any questions you may have relating to your tenancy or property. Although an owner of the business Wendy is not involved in any other aspect other than finance but is always happy to direct you to the right person who will be able to help you with any enquiry.

 

Gareth Glover- Proprietor

 

Gareth ‘s primary role is to ensure that all of his staff are equipped with all of the training and expert knowledge that they need to carry out their respective roles, whether it be latest changes to legislation, statute law or what is happening within the property industry itself. Often acting as a consultant to various sectors of the building industry and developers, advising on the latest trends, ideas and how they can optimise the return they can expect on their developments. Gareth also monitors the process and procedures within the company, constantly looking to improve our already award winning customer support and to offer the best products.

 

As you can see we pride ourselves on our professionalism and expertise within the lettings industry and have a dedicated member of staff to deal with each specific aspect of the business, trained in that specific role. That is what makes us a “Lettings Specialist” because that is all we do all day every day.

Live and rent in Truro

The historic City of Truro, with the Cathedral at it's heart, is a prime business and property location in Cornwall with a thriving community based on commerce and tourism.
