Over the years Martin & Co Letting Agents have assisted thousands of landlords with properties to let and have helped many tenants find their perfect rental property across the UK. The tremendous success of our other Kent letting agencies in Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone and Ashford, necessitated the provision of a further Martin & Co.office for the town of Tonbridge. As well as Tonbridge and Sevenoaks, we also let and manage properties in Paddock Wood, Staplehurst, Cranbrook, Edenbridge and Biggin Hill.
We are members of the NALS (National Approved Letting Scheme), DPS and the Property Ombudsman. We also employ the services of Homelet and Rightmove.
Our team consists of husband and wife franchisees Robert and Katrina Gordon-James, Lettings Co-ordinator Heather O'Brien and Negotiator Janey Pergande . Robert has more than 30 years experience in property management and is a former governor of the Institute of Residential Property Management. Katrina has worked in another local letting agency for many years and before that she handled the market rent portolio of a major housing association. Heather also has many years experience in the lettings industry and has forged excellent business relationships with many local landlords. In his spare time Robert is actively involved in charitable work with the Lions Club International. Janey is our go-ahead girl who, apart from her 'day job' also steps into the breach wherever and whenever needed.

Tonbridge is a market town in the county of Kent. It is located on the River Medway, approximately 4 miles north of Tunbridge Wells, 12 miles south west of Maidstone and 29 miles south east of London. It belongs to the administrative Borough of Tonbridge and Malling.
The town has largely retained its 'market town' atmosphere and has many attractions to visitors and residents alike, including the well-maintained Castle Gatehouse, a large country park and activities based around the river. Sports facilities including an indoor/outdoor swimming pool, a leisure centre and a large sports ground are all located close to the town centre. Many of the facilities are provided or subsidised by the local authority.
Most of the town's shopping facilities are concentrated on The High Street, which runs for about one mile through the town centre.
Tonbridge has always been able to make claim to being a desirable location in the provision of schooling. Tonbridge School is a major boys' public school which in the centre of the town. The town is also home to several remaining Grammar Schools, including The Judd School, Weald of Kent Grammar School and Tonbridge Grammar School . A number of Tonbridge's secondary schools have specialist status, including Tonbridge Grammar School for Maths and ICT, as well as Languages; Weald of Kent Grammar School for Girls, a specialist school for languages and science. Tonbridge also boasts a great many primary schools including Slade Primary School, Sussex Road County Primary School and Long Mead Community Primary School. For older students and adults there is the K College (a merger of West Kent and South Kent Colleges) - currently with 1000 full and part-time education students.
With good access to the A21, a primary route from the coast in the south to the M25 London Orbital and a busy rail link, providing a direct 42 minute journey into London (Charing Cross, London Bridge and Canon Street). Tonbridge is an ideal location for commuters who prefer living in the country whilst working in London.
