The area

<strong>The City of Stoke-on-Trent</strong> is geographically ideally located to give quick and easy access to all parts of the country. It is exceptionally well placed for travel to the North West via the M6 and has excellent rail links. There is easy access to the East Midlands via the improved A50 and The West Midlands and Shropshire via M6, M6 Toll. London is 1hour 40 minutes on the frequent train service.

Even in this tough economic climate we are still seeing investment in the Stoke area with the new multi-million pound bus station being just the first phase of a 350m development of the city centre. In the potteries alone, as a result of the regeneration programme, <strong>it is expected that the population will increase by around 20,000</strong> by the year 2020. Over the next number of years regeneration will improve the area for residents and businesses. Local authority plans are in place so that by 2017 Stoke on Trent will be a diverse and thriving city and will create 5,000 jobs over the next five years and 25,000 in the long term.

Mark with his partner Liz have developed their own property rental business over the past 15 years gaining first hand experience of being landlords by directly managing their own properties. In addition to the Martin & Co and property businesses Mark and Liz have many years of experience working for Blue Chip companies in senior roles spanning the credit referencing, offshore outsourcing, logistics and the motor industry. This experience is now used to provide the very best service to Landlords, Vendors, Tenants and Buyers

Steve has 25 years experience in Estate Agency, he has been with the Stoke on Trent office since it opened in 2008 and has a wealth of knowledge about the local property market. Steve is always happy to share his knowledge and experience of the local property market with investors and landlords.

The Land Registry has just released its latest set of figures for the Stoke-on-Trent Property market. It makes interesting reading, as average property values in Stoke-on-Trent rose by 0.7% in May. This leaves average property values 0.6% lower than 12 months ago. When we compare Stoke-on-Trent against the regional picture, West Midlands property values rose by 0.1%, leaving them 3.5% higher than a year ago.
