The Deposit Protection Service has now introduced a new SMS service that will allow tenants to obtain their deposits much faster.
Although the process can be as quick as 2 days once both parties have agreed any deductions. However a commmon stumbling block is the loss of the repayment IDs.
The new service sends regular updates to landlords and tenants with key milestones along the way. This encourages a faster processing of deposits at the end of the tenancy.
