Reading lettings agency

The Reading office can be found on the edge of Reading Town Centre, just a 10 minute walk from the Oracle Shopping Centre. This office was launched in August 2001 and has been running successfully since.

 

There’s a close network of Martin & Co offices in Berkshire, with Reading, Maidenhead, Bracknell, Wokingham & Caversham all working together to provide a great service for anyone looking to rent in the County.

 

Our office is a member of NALS (The National Approved Letting Scheme) and the Property Ombudsman (previously known as the OEA).

The Reading team

Parma is the office Proprietor and has worked in the local lettings market for over 12 years.

 

Sonia is our Office Manager, responsible for the smooth running of the office, including accounts and administration. Sonia is married to Parma making them one of the few husband and wife teams to operate a lettings office.

 

Simon is the Senior Negotiator and has worked in the Reading office for 6 years. Simon is responsible for the letting of all properties at our office.

 

Rachel is our Administrator who is responsible for the administration work for all tenancies.

Live and rent in Reading

Reading Central is the home of the Oracle Shopping Centre which hosts over 90 retail shops and also includes many riverside restaurants and a 10 screen Vue cinema.

 

Schooling in the area is great with the highly regarded Reading University, Reading Boys Grammar School provides both day schooling and boarding. Then there’s the Kendrick Girls Grammar School which is one of the top schools throughout the whole of the UK! 

Reading offers a great night life with a variety of fantastic bars, pubs and clubs located in the town centre, including Jamie Oliver’s recently opened Italian restaurant.

Other items of note are Reading Football Club, the annual Reading Music Festival - attended by over 80,000 people, and the Royal Berkshire Hospital. 

 

Reading also plays home to some of the biggest businesses in the world with the UK headquarters for Microsoft and the BG Group, as well as having the Weather Forecasting HQ, situated nearby. This may be why Reading has the lowest unemployment in the area.

There are fantastic links to London, via fast train (25 minutes) to Paddington, or the M4 (30 minutes).

 

For Landlords and Landladies: Our typical tenants would be working professionals, corporate clients, students and families.  We are often seeking more studio/1 bedroom flats which we find are always in high demand and tend to let very quickly.  We benefit from a professional portfolio of Landlords who are experienced in lettings, as well as professional buy to let investors.
