Portsmouth based Martin & Co has launched a brand new student list  in their continued effort to remain the UK‟s No.1 letting agent. The brand “Martin & Co Student Homes” was created as part of the award winning agent‟s strategy to offer its service in every sector of the UK residential lettings market.
“Student lettings are big business in Portsmouth with close to 10'000 student homes being let every year, but the service on offer to landlords, students and their parents is often very poor. Our plan at Martin & Co is simple; we already have an office close to the University of Portsmouth university campus sites and we have a strong web presence. We will be able to let student properties in Portsmouth & Southsea and provide great local customer service” commented Kelly Tyler.
“We believe our strength as a local agent is that we focus exclusively on the residential lettings market. We are not a high street estate agent who also dabbles in lettings. Getting the offer right for Portsmouth student‟s has taken us months of careful planning both with our local university and our head office.
The biggest investment has been made in the Martin & Co website www.martinco.com. The whole site has been revamped and re-designed. A major addition to the website is the dedicated Student Homes section www.martinco.com/students that allows students to search by university and campus – a feature that students said they would find convenient but which even the larger property portals and specialist student lettings.

In student lettings this online presence is even more important because we have worked with Portsmouth students to find out what they want from their letting agent.
