Live and rent in Macclesfield

Macclesfield is a lovely market town in Cheshire close to Macclesfield Forest and beautiful countryside. It’s one of the most prosperous Boroughs in the UK with low unemployment rates, an expanding economy and a diverse work force.  Macclesfield has some excellent state schools and independent schools for both boys and girls; Kings School, dating back to 1502, is steeped in history.

 

Macclesfield has excellent transport links with a railway station within a few minutes walk of the town centre.  The railway network gives residents quick access to Manchester, Birmingham and London and for drivers it just 20 minutes to the M6 and 30 minutes to Manchester International Airport.  Wilmslow, Prestbury and Alderley Edge are the most up-market places to live with numerous bars and restaurants, which equal anything found in London.
