The Hamilton office is in the town centre just a two minute walk from the main train and bus stations.  We launched in 2004 and have recently moved to a bigger office in this central location. Our territory covers all of Hamilton including Motherwell and Wishaw. 

 

At Martin and Co Hamilton we believe local knowledge is fundamental to our business,we frequently interchange staff to ensure maximum understanding of the Lanarkshire area, and it's rental demands, as a whole. 

 

We work closely with other members of Martin & Co's Scottish network including attendance at the upcoming National Landlords Exhibition in November 2011.

The Proprietor Kenny Stenhouse comes from a metal stockholding background where he caught the entrepreneur bug.  He wanted to move into a new market with the freedom to build and grow the business as his own.  Kenny’s been running the Martin and Co Hamilton office for 6 years.

 

Partner to Kenny, Carrie Little, manages both branches and focuses predominately on the administration and financial side.

 

Michelle Gormley has been with the business pretty much since she left full time education.   She’s a dedicated member of the team, keen to develop and learn new skills and has brought a lot to the office.

 

Louise Docherty has recently joined us she focuses on the property management side of things and will branch into new areas as she progresses. She’s a bubbly, lively member of the team who contributes to the friendly and personable nature of the team.

 

Joanna Higgins has been with Martin & Co for 1 year and continues to grow the Airdrie , Cumbernauld and Hamilton offices.  

 

Live and rent in Hamilton

 

Hamilton is Scotland's fifth largest town and Home to the SPL's Hamilton Academicals (Accies) and Hamilton Mausoleum in Strathclyde Park.  Employment in the area has recently benefitted from recruitment in Hamilton Technology Park which has drawn new residents to the area.

 

Motherwell is home to Motherwell Football Club which was established in 1886.  The area is known as the "Steelmen" because of the history of steel making in the area, they play in the Scottish Premier League from their home ground at Fir Park.  Strathclyde Country Park on the outskirts of Motherwell will be a venue for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. The new "Ravenscraig Village" development on the site of the old British Steel plant has created much focus on the area.

 

Wishaw is a large town and former burgh in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. It is located on the edge of the Clyde Valley, 15 miles south-east of Glasgow.  The former World Snooker Champion John Higgins was born here.

 

Most areas within our territory are close enough for easy access to Glasgow yet far enough away to enjoy tranquility. There are great commuter links to the nearby major Scottish City’s so 2 bedroom furnished flats with easy access to public transport are always in high demand.  We are also always looking out for 2 and 3 bedroom family homes for families who relocate to the area to work in either Strathclyde Business Park or Hamilton Technology Park.
