Martin & Co Letting Agents Glasgow Shawlands office was established in 2002 and covers the whole of South Glasgow including Shawlands, Mount Florida, Battle field, Pollokshields, Crosshill and Giffnock. It is located on Kilmarnock Road close to the Pollokshaws East Train Station and the other Estate Agents.
We have a team of six experienced letting agents and are qualified from the Association of Residential Letting Agents. We have up to ten years local market experience and are proud Gold Award Winners for Best Letting Agent Scotland 2010, 2011 and 2012 at the ESTAS awards. We recently won the bronze award for the best franchisee in Britain at the 2013 Negotiator awards held in Park Lane, London.

Javaid our Managing Director qualified in Electrical Engineering BSc and now having just completed his technical award NFOPP qualification, reassures our customers with his knowledge of the property industry. As the MD, Javaid has led by example by completing all four sections of the ARLA qualifications and is actively encouraging all his staff to do the same.
Fraz is our Property Manager who ensures that all properties are maintained to a high standard throughout tenancies. This 'loud' individual also ensures that all properties are marketed and advertised in the correct manner. Fraz deals with prospective landlords and plays an important role in expanding our business. Also known as the little genius of the team :-)
Tracy is the newest member of the Martin and Co family and takes up the role of our Lettings Negotiator. Having no previous experience in the Lettings market, her enthusiasm and determination have proved to be a great asset to the team.
Lynda and Bella are our Admin team, who keep the office running smoothly. Lynda deals with rents and accounts whilst Bella is in charge of move-ins and applications including leases. As the longest serving employees of the company, they are the faces that all our clientelle are familiar with.
Linda is the maintanence co-ordinator, who always keeps all services and appliances in properties in good working condition. She ensures that everyone dealing with Martin and Co has a pleasant customer experience whether it be a tenant, landlord or contractors.
Pamela is our part-time member of staff who carries out various tasks including helping out with maintenance, leases and move-ins.
This area of Glasgow is mostly a mix of residential suburbs with many residents commuting to central Glasgow for work. The area offers an abundance of amenities including shopping centres, supermarkets, health centres, restaurants and night life venues. Our landlord profile is split to around 65% private landlords and 35% buy to let professionals with a portfolio of properties. Our tenants are mostly working families with some students and corporate. Rental in the area has really increased in the current climate because demand for renting properties has increased dramatically.
Shawlands offers an abundance of amenities and excellent commuting links such as train stations, and bus routes to all parts of Glasgow City. The area also provides a wide range of bars, night clubs and restaurants for residents. The Tusk nightclub and The Granary-Pub are popular meeting places for locals.
Battle field, Pollokshields, Albert drive, Crosshill and Giffnock are mostly commuter towns with excellent links to Glasgow Central.
