Cramlington is a post war New Town situated 9 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne on the North Tyneside and Northumberland border with good road transport links as it is situated between the A1, A19 and A189.
Northern rail provides services to Newcastle, Morpeth and The Metrocentre and Arriva Northumbria provide an extensive bus service.
Cramlington also has an extensive bicyle network connecting the town to the beach in Blyth.
The town centre boasts a large shopping centre named Manor Walks which was extended in recent years and now includes retailers such as Argos, Asda, Boots, Next and Sainsbury's.
Adjacent to the shopping mall you will find Concordia leisure centre offering a wide range of facilities including swimming pool, sports pitches and a climbing wall.
Many famous sports personalities have links to Cramlington including Alan Shearer who played youth football for Cramlington Juniors FC
