Congleton is a town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England, on the banks of the River Dane, and to the west of the Macclesfield Canal. It has a population of 25,750.

The principal industries in Congleton include the manufacture of airbags and golf-balls. There are light engineering factories near the town, and sand extraction occurs on the Cheshire Plain, although much of the town is now a dormitory for Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent.

Congleton is seven miles east of the M6 motorway, connected by the A534. It is on the A34 trunk road between Stoke-on-Trent and Manchester, and the A54 to Buxton and the Peak District. The A536 links the town with Macclesfield, with the A527 linking the town to Biddulph and providing an alternative route to Stoke-on-Trent.

Congleton railway station lies on the Manchester to Stoke-on-Trent branch of the West Coast Main Line.

The nearest airport to the town is Manchester Airport, 20 miles away.

There is no hospital in Congleton but the town is served by Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Macclesfield District General Hospital and the University Hospital of North Staffordshire in Stoke-on-Trent.

The National Trust Tudor house Little Moreton Hall, lies to the south of the town.

Biddulph which sits on the edge of the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands countryside also borders the South Cheshire town of Congleton.  Nearby Alsager is home to a campus of one of the UK's most exciting universities, Manchester Metropolitan University which attracts a high proportion of students to the area.

Kidsgrove forms part of the Potteries urban area and is an ideal commuter base with excellent links to Manchester and Birmingham.  Audley is steeped in history dating back as far as 1086 with its first mention in the Domesday Book. The nearby village of Talke was made a civil parish in 1932 being transferred from the Audley urban area. Reginald Mitchell, the creator of the spitfire aeroplane was a native of Talke.

Excellent road links to the M6 and M1 via the A500 and A50. There are 4 local railway stations, including the famous Crewe Station, which are all on the West Coast mainline while London can be reached in 1 hour 30 minutes from Stoke on Trent station.

We are in high demand for all types of properties in our territory but three bedroom properties and bungalows are in particular high demand.  We have many types of landlord but mainly buy to let investors who have recognised the potential in the Congleton,  Biddulph, Kidsgrove, Audley and Talke area. This is a fact shared by Mark and Mark who have seen a decline in the number of people buying properties. In fact they are confident that the trend will be for more and more people renting instead of buying for many years to come. The lack of available finance coupled with the difficulty of saving for a deposit will ensure the rental sector will remain buoyant for the long term.       

We have a wide range of tenants from single people to large families. This cross section is set to continue as the rental sector expands due to the increasing difficulty to obtain finance as we see a housing culture change in this country. 

The different types of landlords looking for professional letting agents is also on the increase. These range from corporate landlords and investors to reluctant landlords who do not want the responsibility of the property management.
