The Canterbury team
We understand that tenants do not want always want to take the first property offered, but want a home that suits their individual requirements, whether it is location, near preferred schools or close to major transport links. With comprehensive knowledge of the local area we will offer you free impartial advice to find your next property to rent. We also offer flexible viewing times to suit you.
At Martin & Co not only do we have a great choice of properties and expert knowledge of the local market, but we also go the extra mile to ensure that the entire process is as hassle free as possible. Remember not all lettings agents are the same! Property to rent does move quickly so it is best to register with your local Martin & Co office a month or so before you need to move into your new rented home.
Live and rent in Canterbury
The historical city of Canterbury lies in the beautiful county of Kent and is well known as the setting of Geoffrey Chaucer’s classic, The Canterbury Tales. It has been an important historical city for England and still has many buildings and architecture dating back as far as the 14th century. The World Heritage Canterbury Cathedral generates over one million visitors a year, who come to visit one of the UKs oldest and most famous Christian structures in the UK.
Residents enjoy the mix of restaurants, bars and restaurants and have the luxury of being a stones drop from Canterbury’s beautiful sprawling countryside. Nearby Whitstable and Herne Bay are coastal towns with a rich maritime history. All enjoy great transport links to London, with a high speed rail line and the M2 which takes commuters most of the way to London.
We have a lot of families and professionals living here as well as students from Canterbury’s two universities; University of Kent and the Canterbury Christ Church University. The schools in the area are extremely good and have had excellent Ofsted reports, in particular Barton Court Grammar School and Simon Langton Grammar School.
This is an affluent area, with a booming economy and as such we have a lot of ‘buy to let’ investors who have seen the potential in the area. Our one and two bedroom apartments are very high in demand, with the two bedrooms being popular with professional sharers who commute to London.
