Martin & Co Letting Agents Win National Property Award!

Martin & Co stormed to victory at this year’s Negotiator Awards 2011, picking up the coveted Franchise of the Year Award 2011. The agency, with a flag-ship office in Cambridge, was up against stiff competition from 5 other finalists at the prestigious event held at the Park Lane Hilton in London, earlier this month.

 

Martin & Co was praised for the group’s impressive growth and development in an ever changing and fast moving lettings industry; for it’s extensive initiatives and support with staff training and development, and its recent re-accreditation as an Investor in People; it’s focus on stringent compliance and auditing, as well as it’s newly launched dedicated Student Homes offering.

.

The Martin & Co office in Cambridge was also shortlisted in two major categories: Community Champion of the Year and Employer of the Year, but just missed out on the top prize.

 

Nick Diggle, company director at Martin & Co Cambridge: “In addition to winning the Franchise of the Year award, we’re delighted to have made the top 6 national finalists in these two other important categories - and we give credit to the other agents in those groups. The judging panel was made up of some of the top names in the property industry and only the very best agents that met their high standards were invited to compete at the finals.”

 

“We’ve won a number of industry awards in Cambridge over the years, and becoming a negotiator finalist for the first time just motivates us to do more at the agency. No doubt we’ll be back for a trophy next year.”

 

The Negotiator Awards were launched in 2008 and aim to identify, reward and celebrate industry excellence and promote best practice. In the past few years the awards have grown in popularity and recognition to become one the major highlights of the UK’s annual property industry calendar.

 

No stranger to awards, this year alone, Martin & Co Cambridge was named a Top Ten Service Provider in East of England in Business Weekly’s New Years Honours 2011; the firm won the Silver award at the Estate and Letting Agent of the Year Awards 2011, and in June, Nick Diggle, owner and company director in Cambridge was awarded as the National Federation of Property Professionals’ and ARLA’s lettings Student of the Year 2011.
