Primarily covering the North Manchester areas of Bury, Rochdale, Middleton, Heywood, Royton, Bolton, Oldham and New Moston we let and manage properties as far North as Blackburn and as far south as Ashton-u-Lyne.

The Bury team

Phil Watson is our astute Managing Director. He has completed the 12 month Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA) Technical Award in Residential Lettings & Property Management and is a full Member of ARLA. He also recently completed his Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management & Leadership at Liverpool Hope University and is now a qualified Member of the Chartered Management Institute. His career began in the Royal Air Force, followed by several years working within the Telecommunications Industry in a strategic management role, before deciding to follow his passion for property investment and set up in business as a Specialist Letting Agent (not an estate agent looking to see themselves through a quiet period of sales...)

 

Corelia Maskell-Mosely, Operations Director, has over twenty years experience (we are not allowed to say exactly how long this experience is!) and provides a wealth of knowledge to the business.

 

Joanne Martin – Accounts, is extremely qualified with over 30 years of experience of book keeping and accounts.

 

Martin & Co employ dedicated Administrators, Lettings Negotiators and Property Managers, each have a wealth of local knowledge and regularly attend both internal and external Martin & Co UK Ltd training courses. Keeping up to date with the local market, lettings practise and law is key to our continued success and a challenge that we whole heartedly accept. Live and rent in Bury

Whilst the factories with their old chimneys have been pulled down and the cotton mills long closed Bury is now a busy thriving town with an eclectic mix of old and new. Modern office accommodation close to the period Bury Town Hall houses many different companies. Road and rail networks are excellent providing swift access via M66, M65 & M60/62 to Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool.

 

The shopping areas have been radically revamped with the latest addition of The Rock. Main stream department store such as Marks and Spencer, Debenhams & Primark have substantial sites.

 

Housing of all ages and sizes is still competitively priced both to purchase and rent encouraging people of all ages to settle in the area. Local schools have excellent reputations in both the public and private sector. Newer developments have been carefully designed to fit in with traditional needs whilst the town centre has some cutting edge designs.

Lancashire traditions are still loved and respected and Bury’s famous market is still popular with both locals and tourists visiting the area. The Bury Black Pudding Co provide Black Pudding to retailers such as Harrods as well as supermarkets.

 

Local cuisine offers a cosmopolitan choice from the traditional to far eastern with some excellent restaurants to tempt any palate.

 

The stunning backdrop of the moors gives a strong hint of the lovely countryside surrounding this town with plenty of leisure opportunities such as golf, hill walking, sailing on the numerous reservoirs, and riding. The towns leisure facilities also offer access to tennis, squash and swimming.
