Louise, our newest addition to the team also has years experience within the industry having previously worked within Estate/Letting Agency and also for the Professional Referencing Agency (Homelet) who we use to reference all of our prospective tenants. Broughty Ferry was once known as “The Brighton of Scotland” and can be found four miles East of Dundee, a quiet place with an excellent seafront esplanade and extensive sands. Built as a suburb of Dundee for the wealthy jute barons who built the city’s textile industry, its origins can be traced back to the 15th century when fishermen built their homes around the harbour close to Broughty Castle.
Today, the castle houses a museum cataloguing the town’s history and it’s association with the fishing and whaling industries. The town has a high-class air with individual traders, boutiques, galleries, coffee shops and restaurants lining the spacious streets. In the evening these same restaurants and the area’s many trendy bars transform “The Ferry” into an altogether more grown up night out.
The Angus glens are a stone’s throw away, offering stunning hills and Lochs. Championship golf courses are within easy reach, with Carnoustie and St Andrews both less than 30 minutes away and several other top quality courses even closer.
Ideal for commuters the area also benefits from regular 15 minute bus journeys into Dundee and a useful but somewhat limited train service.
