Awards success for lettings franchise Martin and Co

Lettings franchise Martin & Co, whose head office is based in Bournemouth, Dorset has been awarded “Franchisor of the Year” at the Negotiator Awards ceremony held in London earlier this month.

Attracting entries from all over the UK for 17 different award categories, Martin & Co (UK) Ltd were named winners in the franchise category.

This Bournemouth based head office team are no strangers to winning awards having entered this award category twice and winning on both occasions. The business has also been voted a winner by its landlord clients in a survey of customer service.

These awards recognise how this 170 plus UK-wide lettings brand has developed particularly over the last three years – with a dedicated brand for London and student homes being rolled out successfully alongside a top ranked website www.martinco.com

This is a great 25th birthday present for the business chairman and founder Richard Martin who started Martin & Co with his wife Kathy in Yeovil in 1986, and launched the franchise in 1995. Richard & Kathy still live in Dorset and their daughter Rebecca has the Bournemouth franchise.

Richard continues to set the strategic plan, with Ian Wilson responsible for the day to day running of the business as the Managing Director.

This privately owned local company has set new records this year with over £3 million in group fee income in October and delving deeper into the figures Martin & Co is on track to achieve £36 million in group fee income in 2012.

In a highly competitive market the strength of a brand is key, this awards recognition within the property industry means Martin & Co are on the right road to continue their development with launches scheduled already in 2012 for new on-line agents, new franchises and company shops.
