Our current tenants come from a wide spectrum, including graduates locating to the area, senior managers, company relocations, people who have sold houses and prefer to rent to see what happens with the market and a large number of people who simply can't or do not wish to jump on the housing ladder at present. - always providing a high demand for properties ranging from 1 and 2 bedroom apartments to large luxury homes.

Basically all types! As long as the properties are priced correctly, clean and tidy then there is good demand from quality tenants.  1 and 2 bedroom apartments are in very high demand throughout Blackwood with prices more competitive than 18 months ago - £450 for a 1 bed, £500 for a 2 bed.  

 

Blackwood

 

Blackwood is located in the heart of the Sirhowy Valley and centrally located within Caerphilly county borough. The town has grown and spread over the years, almost merging with the neighbouring communities of Pontllanfraith and Cefn Fforest. Today, Blackwood is a busy shopping centre with a lively outdoor market.

The town benefits from enhanced transportation links with the construction of the Sirhowy Enterprise Way and a CLAW award winning new bus station. The Sirhowy Enterprise Way provides direct access to the A472 with two key cross-valley links over the Sirhowy River to the north and south of Blackwood town. This road will bring new jobs to the area by opening up the 170-acre Oakdale Business Park, where the £9.4 million Oakdale Strategic Development has recently been completed. This mixed development includes 3 Office Pavilions at the western end of the business park which are within minutes of Blackwood town centre across the spectacular Chartist Bridge.

A new southern retail park, Blackwood Gate Retail Park at Thorncombe Road, provides 84,000 sq. ft. of retail space for DIY and white goods. This new development is a complimentary addition to the existing high street offer.

Street scene improvements have already been undertaken at Hall Street linking the old town centre with the Northern Retail Park. This won an Interpave Public sector Award for excellence in the design of public space. The second scheme is based around the Wesley Methodist Chapel (adjacent to the Argos store). This scheme has included alterations to the existing junction as well as the creation of seating areas, planting schemes and public artwork. The majority of the schemes are being jointly funded by the WAG and as the schemes are completed, building owners are being offered the opportunity to improve their buildings. E.g. the former Bierkeller has now been refurbished to create new shops and a cafe style quarter known as The Pier
