The Ayr & Kilmarnock office is located on Parkhouse Street Ayr, which is locally known as the "estate agents mile" because most of the agents have offices here.  We have been trading since February 2005 and have a close knit team, passionate about lettings!  Our area covers Ayr, Kilmarnock, Prestwick, Troon, Irvine & the outlying villages.

 

We are members of the SALA (South Ayrshire Landlord Association), which enables us to discuss issues, concerns and new ideas in an open forum.  We also have speakers who attend and give presentations on their field of knowledge.  We have found this platform very useful to open up a two way dialogue with our customers.

If you are thinking of relocating to Ayrshire for work or to be near relatives or friends then we are the Letting Agents to visit. We have a wealth of knowledge of the local area and we will do our best to ensure  your relocation will run smoothly.

 

We work closely with other members of Martin & Co's Scottish network including attendance at the upcoming National Landlords Exhibition later this year.

The Ayr team

Scott has been working within the property market since 1995 He  founded Martin & Co Ayr in 2005 and has a wealth of knowledge about the local property market and is always on hand to help the team.

 

Christine is the Lettings Manager and has been involved with the business more or less since day one. As with all of our team she has completed Advanced Legal Training and our internal property training courses to ensure a depth of knowledge about current legislation and good working practice.

 

Susan is the Property Manager and has been part of the business for 2 years now and is responsible for both cyclical and reactive maintenance. It takes a lot of patience & organisation to ensure certificate compliance with a large property portfolio, and she’s certainly got it!

 

Brian & Samantha are our roving negotiators, Brian has been with us for 3 years and Sam is newly started and turning in some great figures after her first month out of training. 

 

Frazer completes the team; he is responsible for rent payment & accounts. He works behind the scenes (and close to the kettle) and assures us that he is the busiest of our group.

 

Live and rent in Ayr

Ayr is a fantastic coastal university town, boasting miles of sandy beach.  It’s steeped in history and was the home of the famous poet Rabbie Burns.  Ayr is home to Scotland’s premier horse racing venue and has a selection of championship golf courses including Royal Troon & Turnberry. It is also home to the University of West Scotland.

 

Prestwick has a vibrant nightlife for the 25+ age group with great pubs and restaurants; The Golf Inn, with regular pub quiz and karaoke, Flannigans, an Irish Bar with Sky Sports and music and The Taj, an award winning Indian, to name but a few. The fun stops in Prestwick around midnight but if you head into Ayr you’ll find a younger nightlife with Fury Murrays catering for our students and The Club de Mar nightclub, open until 3am.

 

Kilmarnock is primarily a commuter town, offering affordable good quality housing.  It is just 30 minutes to Central Glasgow with good public transport links.  

 

We are constantly looking for 2 bedroom furnished apartments close to Prestwick Airport. Airline crews make up a large proportion of our tenants and there is an inbuilt demand for good quality, clean, safe accommodation.  A good proportion of our Landlords are from agricultural backgrounds, using property as an investment vehicle.
