This call comes as the lettings agents UK wide face up to a highly competitive market, where ensuring potential tenants receive the best service is crucial to maintaining your market share.
The NAEA represents the UK's leading professional body for estate agency personnel, with a group totalling 13,000 members who practice across a range of estate agent and property management services in both the UK and overseas.
This week saw the members of the NAEA come to Bristol for its annual conference on Tuesday February 7th.
The event provided NAEA president Wendy Evans-Scott with an opportunity to issue a rallying cry to the sector ahead of another busy year in the industry.
Speaking at the conference, Ms Evans Scott stated that members needed to prepare for the coming challenges of the next 12 months.
"There is huge pent-up demand in the housing market; in many areas it's now more expensive to rent than buy, and as each day more lenders are launching higher loan to value mortgages we should be confident and positive about the future," she said.
Ms Evans Scott also stated that "agents should pull together to get the market moving by offering first class advice to prospective buyers and effective counsel to sellers".
The NAEA was originally set up to promote professionalism in all aspects of property, estate agency and land, with the simple promise of providing the highest level of integrity and service in all property matters.
NAEA chief executive Peter Bolton King concurred with her arguments, noting that it was crucial for the organisation to continue to improve standards in the industry.
Mr Bolton King noted that it was crucial for those interested in UK property investment to feel completely confident in the support the organisation could provide them.
The comments came as the latest NAEA conference focuses on improving customers' experience and improving the public understanding of how importance it is to use a licensed residential lettings agents.
