Moving to our new office

Leading Bedford residential lettings agent Martin&Co is moving to new offices in the heart of the town.

The company has been in Bromham Road since coming to Bedford in 2000, but increasing business and a resultant increase in staff has led to relocation to 56 St Loyes Street.

The new office, close to many of Bedford’s estate agents, will give Martin&Co a significant edge in the town’s booming lettings market.

Managing Director Neil Fraser said: We are taking on more and more properties, thanks to our name and reputation giving us a higher profile among landlords and tenants in Bedford and the surrounding areas.

As a UK concern, Martin&Co also ensure branches such as that at Bedford reap the benefits of a strong and integrated national network.

“The lettings market in the town remains strong and dynamic -as it does nationally-and this, allied to our recent growth and the staff expansion, means our current office s are no longer adequate,” said Neil” our move to St Loyes Street will be a welcome one, and a significant step forward for Martin&Co in Bedford.

The team at Martin&Co comprises of Neil, Darren Johnson, Joanna Baldowska and Lorena Gourlay.

Neil, a former Milton Keynes JP, established Martin&Co in Bedford eight years ago, having been involved with the town since 1984.

Darren, the lettings manager, joined the company in April after a number of years learning his craft in the aggressive lettings market in the north of London.

Joanna, property manager, joined early this year, and is responsible for property maintenance, inventories and tenant check-outs.

Lorena, also property management, joined at the same time as Darren. Her role covers rent collection and legal.

Joanna comes from Poland and is obviously fluent in the language, whilst Lorena is fluent in Italian.
